Ecology, Conservation and Habitat Management

I have recently started an Environmental Studies ‘distance learning’ course in Ecology, Conservation and Habitat Management with the University of Exeter through which I will begin to learn the principles of ecology, the history of habitats and the nature conservation movement in the UK as well as practical approaches to the management of habitats for nature conservation.

Over the next ten weeks I will be sharing some of my research, random discoveries, facts and opinions around ecological interactions, feeding interactions and energy flow, nutrient cycling, community, diversity, history of habitats and the UK, habitat loss, nature conservation, habitat protection and management techniques.

I then hope to continue writing about my conservation adventures and experiences.
